Plastic Machining
POLYURETHANE - PUR
Polyurethane - a rubber-like material, but it has a significant advantage over rubber as it is more flexible and durable. Its properties also surpass those of ceramics and many other materials. For this reason, it is widely used in various industrial sectors. Due to its properties, elastomers can often be used as substitutes for metals, rubber, or plastics. They find applications in the machinery, woodworking, furniture, dairy, pharmaceutical, shipbuilding, and food industries. Elastomers are used to produce rods and sheets, rings, nozzles, connectors, fittings, automotive and tram bumpers, scrapers, wheels, and many other components. Additionally, polyurethane performs very well as a protective coating, for example, for metal or concrete.
