PTFE Seals
Seals made of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)
PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is considered a high-performance plastic, offering good temperature stability and very high chemical resistance. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) has one of the lowest coefficients of friction of all comparable plastics. Due to the very wide temperature stability of PTFE, its thermal properties can be described as "top-notch." Another characteristic is the extremely high durability of the material. Furthermore, seals made from PTFE require low surface pressure to achieve the desired leakage rate, as they are very adaptable yet tough.
