SKORPION 280 RBG is the smallest tractor-mounted drum chipper with a tracked system. It is offered for companies and individuals looking to produce uniform wood chips. This machine belongs to the category of chippers powered by the tractor's PTO, and the minimum power required to operate the chipper is 60 HP (540 RPM). The wood loading area, with a throat measuring 265 mm in width and 190 mm in height, allows for the shredding of branches along with trunks and sprouts (with leaves and needles), as well as round wood up to a diameter of 18 cm. The cutting system in the chipper's design features a configuration of 3 cutting knives arranged sectorally around the drum, along with one support knife. This solution ensures that the chipper achieves very high performance with relatively low tractor power. The chipper comes standard with a smooth adjustment of the material feeding speed for shredding, ranging from 5 to 25 mm. Consistent chip size is achieved through the use of a screen mounted beneath the cutting drum.
