The SKORPION 280 SDBG is the smallest mobile drum chipper with a crawler feeder produced in Europe. The drive system features a three-cylinder Lombardini LDW 1603 diesel engine with a power output of 40.1 HP. The engine is liquid-cooled. The chipper's throat measures 265 mm in width and 190 mm in height, allowing for the shredding of branches along with trunks and shoots (with leaves and needles), as well as round wood with a diameter of up to 18 cm. This model uses a drum with a system of 3 cutting knives – one rotation of the drum results in one cut of wood across the entire width of the drum. The chipper is equipped as standard with a hydraulic valve for smooth adjustment of the wood feeding speed for shredding, ranging from 5 to 25 mm. This allows for the production of both fine and coarse chips. It features an electronic No-stress system that protects against overload of the drive system. The chipper has received European homologation, allowing for the registration of the machine and its approval for road traffic.
